CWB-CH joins the efforts for assisting refugee families in Greek camps.
The armed conflict in the Middle East has forced millions of families from Iraq, Afganistan and Syria to flee their countries looking for a better future for them and their children. Those who get to escape the horrors of war and arrive in Europe are now caught in the middle of one of the most devastating refugee crises (the largest registered since WWII). According to UNICEF, more than 5 millions Syrian citizens have left their country after the war erupted. UNICEF studies reflect that 40% of the refugees arriving in Europe are children.
In Greece, one of the countries with the largest number of refugee camps, the International Federation of CWB facilitates the coordination between the NGO’s and all the different CWB chapters. It’s is a joint effort with a common goal. The refugee crisis is far from being solved and CWB-CH is willing to join efforts to assist the thousands of families in need of hope and resilience.
We are currently collecting funds to send our teams to the field and contribute to this noble task of bringing hope and joy to the Greek camps. If you want to become a donor for this amazing project please go to the DONATE section of our website where you can get our Bank Coordinates. Don’t forget to mention YASAS in your donation.
